Air Broadband is delighted to announce that it has reached an agreement with the committee of RaSP, a community organisation that provides broadband to Reach, Swaffham Prior and Upware.
In an extraordinary committee meeting on the 9th December 2014, there was a unanimous vote from the committee and all residents who attending to pass the day to day running of the RaSP network over to Air Broadband.
Andrew Glover, CTO and co-founder of Air said “This is a great move for both Air and RaSP – we look forward to continuing to provide a great service and finding ways to improve and extend it over the months and years to come, continuing with the ‘community’ spirit of service that RaSP has always had. We would also like to pay tribute to the volunteers that have driven RaSP so effectively over the last decade or so – an astonishing achievement. We hope to follow in their footsteps and build on the substantial legacy they have left.”
RaSP was originally set up to provide broadband to the village in the absence of an acceptable offering from BT – that continues to be the case despite the government funding into Connecting Cambridgeshire.
The RaSP service will continue to operate day to day as before, with pricing unchanged. If you live in any of these communities and are interested in broadband service from RaSP/Air Broadband, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
